BBM is part of GrainCorp Limited with a range of craft-focussed malting companies including Brewcraft USA and Country Malt Group (CMG) in the United States and Brewers Select in the United Kingdom.

According to BBM, from an operational point of view it will be “business as usual” at Cryer Malt, with no changes to be made to the team and all employees to remain with the business.

David Cryer, Managing Director of Cryer Malt said: “We have worked for over 25 years to bring the best malt to our customers across the region. We know how important quality and consistency is to our customers and our uncompromising commitment to both won’t change.

“Cryer Malt will continue to supply our fantastic customers and the brewing trade with the finest ingredients. We want to ensure they continue to have the freedom and confidence to innovate and create consistently great beer.”

General Manager of BBM, Noel Johnson, said the announcement “marks the next stage of our partnership with David and his team”.

“Cryer Malt have built up a strong customer-focussed culture that is about supporting brewers and that is why we wanted to strengthen our partnership with them.”
