The Claremont Showground is preparing to host three days of beer swirling, tasting and rating as a record number of beers are set to be judged in the seventh Perth Royal Beer Show being held from Monday, October 28 to Wednesday, October 30.

The 27 experienced judges will be faced with 423 beers from 107 exhibitors – 67 of which are from interstate – in order to award trophies and titles in categories such as best Stout, Reduced-Alcohol, Wheat Beer, Lager and Ale.

Amateur brewers will also compete in the competition again this year, vying for an array of medals and trophies.

Chief judge Sean Symons, former brewing manager at WA’s Swan Brewery will be flying in from Phuket to officiate before the 2013 Perth Royal Beer Show Awards are handed out at the presentation dinner, proudly presented by Cryer Malt, on Friday, November 1 at the Parmelia Hotel.

The final event of the show will be an Exhibitors Tasting by invitation only, on November 2.
