The Curious Squire, Adelaide’s newest venue and home of James Squire, has officially opened with a focus on beer and food matching. The new brew bar and restaurant is based around the James Squire brand, with an American-style menu designed to fit around the beers on offer.

Taking over the old Sparrow Kitchen and Bar space in North Adelaide, just three kilometres from the CBD, The Curious Squire offers meals, coffee, and drinks seven days, as well as brunches of a weekend.

Antony Tropeano; Owner of The Curious Squire and Managing Director of Tropcorp, is excited about bringing the Squire name to the city.

“We’re bringing something a little different to Adelaide. The eccentric atmosphere, creative food menu, and unique setting will create a diverse local hang out for those Friday knock offs, weekend drinks, and summer nights,” says Antony Tropeano. “A standout feature is the vintage cinematic light box on top of the bar; detailing specials and quotes of the day.”

The Curious Squire carries the full range of James Squire beers and will also carry the seasonal brews on tap.

The menu has been designed to be unique with bespoke items like Nine Tales con carne, mozzarella sticks and buffalo wings, as well as wood oven pizzas (lasagne pizza, anyone?), and the likes of deep fried Oreos.

“You will be hard pressed to find another menu as diverse and interesting as this one – the food has been designed to keep within the brand of James Squire and reflective of the alternative and unique concept that is The Curious Squire,” says Tropeano.

Just be sure your cholesterol is in check before hitting that dessert menu – deep fried Oreos and a glass of Porter anyone?
