Tinnies, a carefully brewed, unpretentious beer with unique, playful flavours – is now available in Liquorland, First Choice and Vintage Cellars stores country-wide.

The first release of Tinnies is a range of delicious, easy-drinking beers, perfect for the warmer months. Brewed by the team at Brick Lane Brewing, the range includes a Pale Ale, Tropical XPA and a Session IPA.

Coles Acting Chief Executive Liquor and Hotels Cathi Scarce says Tinnies has been designed with Coles customers in mind.

“Our beer experts listened to feedback from customers and worked with brewing specialists to develop delicious craft beers for all to enjoy,” she said.

“We know that Australians like to drink a tasty beer without too much pretence. So, we’ve worked with Brick Lane to combine their passion with high-quality producers of premium hops, barley and pure water to create a great range of beers.”

TASTING NOTES:

  • Pale Ale (4.9%): A hop-driven Pale Ale with stone fruit, pine and citrus characters. Light amber in colour with a slight haze.
  • Session IPA (3.5%): Bursting flavours of citrus and pine with a hop-driven finish. Deep gold in colour with a high haze. Full flavoured like a full-strength IPA.
  • Tropical XPA (4.2%): Extra Pale Ale, full of tropical and citrus aromas with an exciting hopped finish. Pale gold in colour with a clear to slight haze. Aromas of Mango Lychee & pineapple.

Each beer is presented in a specially designed can that represents the different elements of the beers and celebrates the artistry behind the creation of Tinnies.

Sydney artist Alex Lehours designed the bright Tropical XPA can. The graffiti creator says he was inspired by the brewing process and the summer season.

“The design is really an explosion of the thoughts and ideas that would be going through a brewer’s mind as part of that process. And it’s all held together with a wave to bring home the summer-ness of it all,” says Lehours.
