The Daily Mail is reporting that a study, by the University of Illinois in Chicago, claims to have uncovered that men who enjoy a drink are better
at solving problems than those who are sober.

The researchers used what they termed ‘young healthy men’ in the test, with a control group of 20 sober blokes (those guys got ripped off) and 20 getting their BAC readings up to 0.07 (a good solid effort but considering it was free booze, probably a lot less drunk than they would have liked to be).
And to add insult to injury, the sober team were not only slower at giving their answers, they were less likely to be right. So cheers to trivia in the pub – it seems they were onto something all along!
