BrewDog is at it again, stretching boundaries in the only way they know how: extreme beers. First up is their Barrel Aged 7.7 Lager. After brewing a batch of 77 Lager with an exact ABV of 7.7% the boys aged it in oak single grain scotch whisky casks for 18 months. It’s depth of flavour and complexity is apparently set to shatter preconceptions about what lager can taste like.

And for hop heads that missed the first round, the BrewDog lads have again teamed up with Mikkeller to re-release their I Hardcore You IPA. This brew is a 9.5% Imperial India Pale Ale and is a blend ofBrewDog’s Hardcore IPAand Mikkeller’s I Beat You. After the blending, the beer was then dry hopped a further two times. Making I Hardcore You a beer which has been dry hopped four times, or maybe even six times – the lads reckon they lost count. Anyway, it sounds like a must for IPA fiends everywhere.
