The opening date for entries to the 2013 AIBA has been announced, with Monday 7 January the date to mark down.

There will a series of changes to next year’s competition including two new trophies: a Champion Australian Beer Award and a Champion International Beer Award.

Additionally, to keep up with the rapidly evolving beer industry, the Champion Brewery trophies have been further divided into small, medium and large breweries. This means that the overall trophy count from 2013 will increase to 19 Best in Class Trophies and 9 Champion Trophies.
As previously mentioned, the awards will be judged over a single one week period in April next year, to encourage continuity.
Winners will be announced in Melbourne during Good Beer Week on Thursday 23 May 2013.
