The Matilda Bay Team with their Champion Trophy
The Australian International Beer Awards have been run and won for another year, with a few surprises along the way.
Carlton & United Breweries
(VIC) took out the Champion Large Brewery category, while last year’s
winner, Feral Brewing Co (WA), took home the newly created Champion
Medium Brewery.

The Small Brewery Trophy went to 2 Brothers Brewery (VIC), while on the international front the much loved Nøgne Ø (Norway) picked up the gong for Medium International Brewery.

The Large International and Small International Brewery trophies went to Weihenstephan (Ger) and Renaissance Brewing (NZ).
The coveted Champion Australian Beer went to Alpha Pale Ale from Matilda Bay Brewing Co (VIC).
