Young Henrys and Newtown pub The Courthouse Hotel’s Street Party event is returning for a second straight year on December 2.

Following on from their inaugural celebration last year that also marked Young Henrys’ tenth birthday, this year’s 1pm to 8pm event will see Eliza Street closed off for live music sets from the likes of Sweet Talk (pictured), Salarymen and Lady Lyon. Cult Sydney burger slingers Marys will be dishing up the food while multiple pop-pup bars will be operating.

Young Henrys’ co-founder Oscar McMahon said: “Young Henrys and our mates at The Courthouse Hotel have been celebrating Newtown the suburb and Newtowner the beer’s birthdays together for 11 years now. It all started with the creation of Newtowner as a small batch beer to mark the 150th birthday of Newtown… and has now outgrown the hallowed grounds of the Courty, spilling out into Eliza Street in December for the second Newtown Street Party”.

This is a free entry-via-donation event with entry proceeds going to Newtown Neighbourhood Centre. You can find out more information here.
