Burleigh Brewing has swung open the doors of its new brewery and tap house, with production set to increase in both overall volume and breadth of offerings.

A year in the making, the new brewing and packaging facility comes complete with a pilot plant where master brewer Brennan Fielding and his team can let their creative juices flow and regularly release limited edition beers available only at the brewery’s tap house.

Located just down the road from the original site, now Burleigh’s warehouse, the new brewery will offer tastings, takeaways, tours, live music, food trucks and community fundraiser events.

The brewery’s tap house currently has 12 Burleigh beers on tap, running through a 24 tap tower.

Burleigh will also host Backstage with the Brewmaster events, where small groups will have the opportunity to see behind the curtains and spend an hour exploring the brewery and tasting beers with Fielding.

While the Gold Coast is fast becoming a burgeoning craft beer region, with the likes of Black Hops and Balter based there, Burleigh Brewing has been championing craft beer in the region for a decade.

The brewery began in 2006 when Peta and Brennan Fielding moved from Hawaii (Brennan’s home) to Burleigh Heads (Peta’s home), to pioneer the craft beer movement on the Gold Coast.

Burleigh Brewing has gone from strength to strength over the past 10 years, expanding steadily from what began as an ambitious vision and a detailed plan in a 600 square metre site in Burleigh Heads.

“We initially built Burleigh Brewing with plans to build a great local business and a vision to become a valued contributor to our community,” explained Peta Fielding.

“We are overjoyed with how Burleigh Brewing has been embraced and by starting afresh down the road we really wanted to create a long-term home that would do both us – and the Gold Coast community – proud.”

The new Burleigh Brewing is open Wednesday-Friday and Sunday, and is located at 2 Ern Harley Drive, Burleigh Heads.
