Some of the action from GABS last year

On the back of being named one of the 20 best festivals in the world by Beer Connoisseur magazine, the Great Australasian Beer SpecTAPular (GABS) has announced its first ever trade session.

The session is designed to facilitate the expansion of quality craft beer options within retail and hospitality venues such as licensed bars, pubs, bottle shops or restaurants.

The free event will take place at the Royal Exhibition Building from 10:45-11:45am on Friday, 22 May, prior to the first session of GABS Melbourne. Breweries with a stand at GABS will be present to provide samples of their beers and make introductions.

Attendees then have the option of staying for the public session starting at midday where 120 beers made exclusively for GABS will be available to purchase.

All attendees and breweries will be provided with an information sheet on entry containing contact details of both buyers and sellers.
