The Craft Beer Industry Association (CBIA) has teamed up with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and Samskip Icepak Logistics to organise for a range of Australian craft beers to be showcased at an event in Sweden.
The event, hosted by the Australian Ambassador to Sweden, Mr Gerald Thompson, saw brews from CBIA members Bridge Road Brewers, Two Birds Brewing, Hawthorn Brewing Company, Boatrocker Brewery and Holgate Brewhouse presented to more than 50 members of the Swedish alcohol industry, comprising a selection of importers, venue owners, beer writers and representatives from Sweden’s monopoly alcohol retailer Systembolaget.
The event was the second time the CBIA has teamed up with DFAT to promote Australian craft beer at an overseas event. In 2013, a similar event was staged in New Delhi.
