Submissions are now open for Beer & Brewer’s upcoming panel tastings, with two bold winter styles under the microscope – and space for new releases across the board.
The next tasting will spotlight Stouts, offering brewers the chance to showcase everything from traditional dry and sweet stouts through to modern pastry and imperial variations. Our expert panel will be focusing on the use of adjuncts, the balance of sweetness and bitterness, and creative or innovative brewing techniques.
We will also turn our attention to Barrel-aged and Strong Ales, including Barleywines, Imperial Stouts and Old Ales. These big, complex beers are ideal for the colder months, and judges will be paying close attention to ageing effects, barrel character, oxidation, and overall depth and structure.
We’re also inviting entries of any new release beers, regardless of style. If it’s fresh to market, we want to taste it.

How to submit:
If sending to our Sydney office, please include:
- Two samples of each beer you’d like to enter
- A high-resolution image of each bottle or can (preferably on a white background to djackson@intermedia.com.au)
- Any supporting information you’d like our panel to consider
