Beer lovers from across Australia are being reminded to head to Sydney next week for Sydney Beer Week, which will see over 40 events running from Monday, 20 October until Sunday, 26 October.
The week kicks off with a Native Australian Belgian Wit Collaboration at Endeavour Tap Rooms and a Brewdog South Eveleigh’s Beer School, and culminates in the Big Shed Sunday Session at Hotel Sweeney’s.
Other opening day events include the Monday Night Kick Start, which kicks off at 2pm at The Union Hotel in Newtown, the Trans-Tasman IPA Off, at Hotel Sweeney’s from 5pm and Trivia Night at the Bob Hawke Beer & Leisure Centre, which starts at 6.30pm.
Sydney Beer Week Managing Director, Peter Anstey told Beer & Brewer: “We’re getting really close now to Sydney Beer Week, and you can feel the excitement building across the industry. This year’s program is packed with variety — from brewery-hosted events and special tap takeovers to dinners, collaborations, and unique one-offs that really show the creativity and passion in the beer community.
“It’s great to see so many venues and breweries getting behind it, and there’s genuinely something here for everyone — whether you’re a beer enthusiast keen to explore new releases, or just someone looking for a great night out.
“Sydney Beer Week is all about bringing people together, celebrating what makes this city’s beer scene so vibrant, and having a lot of fun along the way.”
The week has a mix of free and paid for events, full details are on the Sydney Beer Week website. There are two easy avenues for tickets — either directly through www.sydneybeerweek.com.au or via the Eventbrite page where all events are listed.
On Tuesday, 21 October the Beer & Brewer and Sydney Beer Week Awards will be held from 5pm at the Mountain Culture Brewery in Redfern. This promises to be an amazing evening celebrating the best of Australia’s brewing industry. You can secure your tickets here.
