Tait Micallef was the Store Manager of Barrel & Batch’s St Peters store, but more than that he was a widely respected figure whose sudden passing in July was deeply felt across the industry and beyond.
Tait was a devoted partner to Yasmin and a loving father to their young daughter, Harlo. To honour Tait’s memory and and to support his family, a major fundraising event will be held on Sunday 31 August at the Arthouse Hotel in Sydney.
The evening will feature an auction of Tait’s extensive NRL memorabilia alongside exclusive liquors and unique experiences generously donated by industry partners. All proceeds will go directly to Yasmin and Harlo.

To further honour Tait’s memory Beer & Brewer is renaming the Best Beer Retailer award that is part of the Beer & Brewer Awards. It will now be called the Tait Micallef Best Beer Retailer award.
