Brookvale’s local breweries and distillers are teaming up for the inaugural Brookie Hoedown tomorrow – a day-long festival spanning multiple venues across Brookvale and celebrating the region’s growing craft drinks scene with a country twist.

Organised by the Brookie Trail collective – which includes 7th Day Brewery, Dad & Dave’s, Freshwater Brewing, Bucketty’s, Nomad Brewing, Manly Spirits, Goodradigbee Distillers, Chalky’s Pool Bar and Sale Pepe – the precinct-wide event will feature live music, themed games and individual programming at each venue.

Participating producers will host a full day of activity; offering brewers, beer lovers and the broader community a chance to explore the Brookie Trail while enjoying country-style food and drink, live bands, DJs and interactive workshops.

Chair of The Brookie Trail, Joel Ridzuan of 7th Day Brewery, says: “We’ve always wanted to throw a good ol’ country party in Brookie, this is our chance to bring the community together for something fun, loud and uniquely local.”

The Brookie Hoedown will kick off at 7th Day Brewery with Dolly Parton Karaoke, before a golden-hour country music set from Martin DJ full of classic country tune. The brewery will also host a line dancing class, leading into a full-blown hoedown with the Joe West Band.

Dad & Dave’s will also begin festivities at midday with cowboy-themed games and giveaways, a cowboy hat craft station and campfire karaoke. Meanwhile, at Bucketty’s Brewery, patrons can join line dancing workshops throughout the day or take on the mechanical bull.

Manly Spirits and Goodradigbee will also host country dance parties, wood chopping demos and a stockman whip display, with country-style food and drink available across the precinct.
