Frenchies Bistro & Brewery is bringing its much-loved Oktoberfeast event back to their home within The Cannery in Sydney’s Rosebery on Saturday 20 September.
For the event, Frenchies will be pouring a Weissbier, Kellerbier and Lager, all of which have been brewed onsite, and sippers from the brewery’s wide range will also be available as fresh tap pours.
The Bistro’s chefs will be whipping up German classics including crispy skin pork knuckle drizzled in beer gravy; Kasespatzle – the German version of mac and cheese; weisswurst, bratwurst and currywurst paired with homemade sauerkraut; and of course, pretzels. Sweet tooths will be indulged with the pancake-like Kaiserschmarrn, as well as apple strudel.
There will be plenty of opportunities for competition and play, with challenges including nail hammering, tug of war, and a beer glass holding competition to be held at set times throughout the day, where beer and merch prizes will be on offer. Guests are encouraged to don their best themed wares too, as there will be prizes for best dressed.
Commenting on this year’s event, Frenchies Bistro & Brewery’s Co-Founders, Thomas Cauquil and Vincent De Soyres said: “From the upbeat vibe and house-brewed beers, to tasty eats and traditional games, this is one of our favourite annual events, and it’s been getting bigger and better each year.
“We’re excited to be transforming Frenchies into a themed oasis, and providing those who can’t make it over to Germany with the opportunity to enjoy a taste of Oktoberfest, right here in Sydney!”
Tickets, priced at $29, are on sale now and include entry to the event, plus a branded stein, whichcan be used throughout the day, and then taken home as a memento. Some tickets will be available on the door, but Oktoberfeast fans are encouraged to secure their spot prior to avoid missing out.
