Inspired by a pledge from Queensland Premier David Crisafulli to honour everything local this year, Your Mates Brewing is celebrating Queensland Day on 6 June with the release of a brand-new ginger beer.
Crafted with 100 per cent natural ingredients, including ginger grown on the Sunshine Coast, Your Mates is delivering a low sugar ginger beer full of flavour.
Christen McGarry, Co-Founder and Beer Director described the new product as “zingy, balanced, and seriously refreshing.”
He added: “It’s everything you love about a good ginger beer – just made better”.
In the lead-up to the product’s launch, Crisafulli and Deputy Premier Jarrod Bleijie, visited the brewery to show their support for local business.
The pair met the brewery team, toured the facility, and sampled the new Ginger Beer.
The award-winning Sunshine Coast brewery is also celebrating Queensland Day with a launch party at its Warana headquarters.
“This is the most Queensland way we could think to launch our new Ginger Beer,” said Matt Hepburn, Co-Founder and Sales Director of Your Mates Brewing.
The free launch event will feature live music from Sunshine Coast artists and longtime mates of the brewery – Adnan Sevin, Richie Bull, Kurt Is, and Your Mate McGarry, to create the ultimate celebration with dancing and mateship.
The new ginger beer will be available on its own, in a spritzer, or as a cocktail at the launch.
Hepburn said this new product “has been a long time coming” with Queenslanders able to get their hands on it soon.
“Our new recipe is big on refreshment and packed with flavour. You’ll find it in participating bottle shops including Liquorland, BWS and Dan Murphy’s across the state,” he added.
