Hop Products Australia (HPA) is no stranger to bold moves. As the country’s largest hop grower and member of the global BarthHaas group, they’ve never shied away from pushing the boundaries of what hops can do. And in the face of today’s brewing headwinds – economic constraints, bureaucratic bottlenecks, and rising sustainability pressures – they aredoubling down on innovation, working hand-in-hand with brewers to drive efficiency, consistency, and creativity from tank to tap.

At the core of this evolution? Liquid hops.

From trialling new brewing applications to creating better flavour delivery systems, HPA’s range of liquid hop products is crafted by brewers, for brewers. Their goal is simple: to take the complexity out of hops and deliver game-changing solutions that unlock flavour, streamline operations, and maximise profitability.

And this July, they will set off to prove it – taking the BarthHaas Liquid Hops roadshow to breweries across Australia and New Zealand. From Margaret River to Adelaide, Mornington Peninsula, Sunshine Coast, Hobart and Christchurch, HPA will share not just samples but serious insights, showing brewers how liquid hops can transform their toolkit.

EUPHORICS™ – A revelry of hops and other botanicals

If you thought hop innovation had peaked, think again. Euphorics™ is a new line of water-soluble, post-fermentation flavour and aroma products made from 100 per cent natural hops and other botanicals. The result is a vibrant flavour boost that’s easy to use, shelf-stable, and wildly versatile – not just for beer, but also for hop waters and other flavoured beverages.

Philter Brewing were early adopters and saw immediate results.

“It was a game-changer – the vibrant tropical aroma and clean, consistent flavour added a juicy punch that our customers absolutely loved. These additions made the beer shine in a way that was completely new to us,” said Max Haemmerle, Head Brewer at Philter.

Available now in: Cosmic Guava, Cloud Lime, Hypnotropic, Mango Mirage, Moonlit Dark Berry, Peachy Keen, Pineapple Paradise, Pomelo Daydream, and Strawberry Surge.

SPECTRUM – A revolutionary way to dry hop

Dry hopping has always been a labour of love – and loss. But Spectrum changes the game entirely. This 100 per cent hop-derived, fully dissolvable liquid dry hop delivers maximum hop impact with minimal process loss, tank time, or mess. It’s eight times stronger than T90 pellets and doesn’t contribute to astringency, hop burn or hop creep. Add it early or late on the cold side – it plays nice either way.

Stone & Wood are already putting Spectrum to work.

“It’s one of the easiest and best products I’ve used for dry hopping. It provides great consistency in hop aroma and flavour while reducing beer losses,” said Caolan Vaughan, Head Brewer at Stone & Wood.

Available now in: Azacca®, BRU-1™, Cascade, Citra®, Eclipse®, El Dorado®, Galaxy®, Mosaic® and Vic Secret™

INCOGNITO® – Whirlpool additions done right

Say goodbye to vegetative matter and hello to flavour intensity. Incognito® is HPA’s answer to improving whirlpool hop efficiency. It offers all the alpha acids and essential oils of traditional hops, minus the solids. That means better yields, cleaner tanks, and more layered flavour – especially when used in combination with other hop forms.

At Range Brewing, Incognito® is already proving its worth.

“We maximise the impact of Incognito by lowering our temperatures in the whirlpool which helps to harness the more volatile aroma compounds. We’ve also trialled inline dosing at knockout as a biotransformation addition to great effect,” said Mitch Pickford, Head Brewer at Range Brewing.

Available now in: Centennial, Chinook, Citra®, Ekuanot®, El Dorado®, Mosaic® and Sabro®
Coming soon in: Galaxy®

Why liquid hops? Why now?

The craft beer industry is facing enormous pressure. Costs are up. Yields are down. Consumers are picky. And yet, brewers are expected to keep innovating and pushing the flavour frontier. Liquid hops offer a practical path forward – without sacrificing quality.

HPA’s liquid hops are here to help, whether you’re looking to:

• Create new and exciting flavour profiles

• Achieve consistent hop flavour and aroma

• Reduce process losses and tank time

• Simplify clean-up and yeast harvesting

• Cut shipping and storage costs

“We know the challenges brewers are facing because we work alongside them every day. That’s why the BarthHaas group has developed these products – to solve real-world problems and open up new possibilities,” said Owen Johnston, CEO at HPA.

There’s no silver bullet in brewing. But liquid hops might just be the next best thing. Whether you’re chasing big tropical notes, dialled-in bitterness, or seamless integration into a non-beer format, HPA’s portfolio is designed to meet you where you are – and take you where you want to go. Because the future of hops is fluid. And it’s happening now.
