Diageo – the company’s assets include Johnnie Walker, Crown Royal, Smirnoff and Ciroc – has been recognised at the 12th annual San Francisco World Spirits Competition, with their brands winning a slew of awards. On the whisk(e)y front, Bushmills 21 Year Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey received a Double Gold recognition as well as being awarded the highest accolade of “Best Irish Whiskey”. Bushmills’ 16 Year Old Single Malt and the 10 Year Old Single Malt Irish Whiskies also took home gold medals along with Crown Royal Deluxe Canadian Whisky and Grand Old Parr 12 Year Old De Luxe Scotch. Not a bad effort.
