Sydney-siders are in for a Mexican taste explosion, following the announcement that a temporary, pop-up cantina has been given the green light for the October long weekend.
Dubbed “Cantina del Sol”, the new eatery will take over the existing space in Potts Point noshery Villa Bar & Kitchen, to serve up cuisine inspired by the charcoal BBQ pits of North Mexico, alongside a fresh fruit stand – and, of course, a fully-functional bar serving Sol to help the food down.
There will also be plenty of entertainment throughout the weekend, including a myriad of special acts from Mexican character actors, secret performances, a caricaturist and acclaimed artistSkullavera, who hand paints ceramic skulls and more.
