The final touches are being put to Ipswich’s latest bar – Alehouse 24.

Alehouse 24 will focus on Independent Australian craft beer with no XXXX, Toohey’s or VB available on tap or in the bottle.

Peter Coultas, manager of the Alehouse 24, says that they are excited to be leading the craft beer charge in Ipswich.

“Craft beer has taken off in Ipswich, we have a number of new independent Australian breweries supply us with kegs and bottles,” he says. “We are very excited about about supporting independent Australian owned small brewers”.

To work alongside the beer, the chef and kitchen staff have been working on a new, beer-friendly menu, including some melt-in-the-mouth slow-cooked meat dishes. Beer dinners and private functions will be a feature of the new bar
with a large private dining area – with AV capability – open for
bookings.

And no expense has been spared with the fit out of the new bar – appropriate, given some of the stalwarts that will be passing through the taps.

“The breweries we are supporting include Ipswich’s own 4 Hearts Brewing,
Queensland’s Burleigh and Bacchus Brewing, as well as interstate brews from
Stone and Wood, Moo Brew, Murrays, Cooper’s, Bridge Rd and others,” says
Coultas.

Final licensing approvals are expected soon, with the bar to open as soon as possible.

Alehouse 24 is located next to the Yamanto Tavern, 502 Warwick Rd, Yamanto.
