Matilda Bay is ever inventive with their beer names and their two new brews live up to that tradition: Ruby Tuesday Amber Ale and Little Ripper Sparkling Lager.

Released on tap only last week, the beers will soon be available around the country.

According to chief brewer Scott Vincent, the team are pretty happy with their creations.

“They’re both easy drinking brews that are Matilda Bay through and through,” he says. “They fit our style, they taste awesome and most importantly, we had a ball brewing them.”

Ruby Tuesday weighs in at 4.7% ABV and features Pride of Ringwood and Hallertau Hersbrucker hops, along with four specialty malts – Carared, Melanoidim, Caramunich (crystal) and wheat.

Little Ripper, a 4.7% ABV Sparkling Lager, is apparently a malt-driven brew featuring Pacifica hops for a fruity aroma.

Matilda Bay recently picked up Champion Australian Beer for their Alpha Pale Ale at the 2013 Australian International Beer Awards.
