Lion has further expanded their brewing portfolio in Australia even further with the announcement that they have won the contract to brew and distribute the Guinness and Kilkenny brands from Foster’s.
The deal, made with British drinks giant Diageo, will make Lion Australia’s biggest brewer with the additions of Stella, Corona and now Guinness and, most controversially, Little Creatures.
Kirin, Lion’s parent company, already has Guinness distribution agreements with Diageo in Japan and New Zealand, making this latest deal between the two companies a, seemingly, sensible one.
