Independent Northern Rivers brewery Stone & Wood has refreshed its hoppy red ale Jasper with a new look in cans for the first time.
Our hoppy red ale honours the hinterland village once known as Jasper in the Northern Rivers, NSW.
Inspired by the region’s rich red volcanic soil, this beer pours ruby red and erupts in bright, fruity flavours and aromas thanks to the generous editions of Galaxy, Enigma and Mosaic hops. Balancing the beer’s 5.4% alc/vol and firm hop bitterness are caramel, toffee and hazelnut notes from the roasted malt backbone.
In a nod to history, the beer celebrates how Jasper Corner residents once rallied together and fundraised enough to buy the village’s iconic old hall, securing its enjoyment for generations to come. The new can breathes life into this story by centring the hall in the design, alongside the Northern Rivers’ tropical trees and rolling hinterland.
You’ll find the new Jasper 375ml cans in the growing section of craft cans in bottle shops around the country. Drinkers are loving cans more than ever, with can purchases up from 11% to 17% within the year.
Jasper cans are now available in 16 x 375ml cartons.
