McCashin’s Stoke Winter Ale will be available exclusively at the Matariki Beer Fest in Wellington on 14 July. The SOBA Mid Winter Ale Festival will be held on 14 July at the Boatshed on Wellington’s waterfront and is a not to be missed event for beer lovers.
Sam Wilson, McCashin’s head brewer describeed the beer he has brewed especially for the festival as “Ruby brown in colour with a sweet spice aroma, with vanilla, honey and oak. Smooth rounded malty flavour; with oak, vanilla and spice. Subtle smoky aftertaste, with a light zesty hop finish.” With a touch of dark and smoked malts and fours additions of Motueka and Nelson Sauvin hops, this 6% ABV beer will be worth hunting down for those keen to get a bit of SOBA action.
