Brad Rogers has announced his resignation from the position of Chair
of The Craft Beer Industry Association (CBIA). According to a statement
released by the CBIA, Brad is stepping down from the role to focus on
getting the new Stone & Wood (NSW) premises up and running, and to
spend more time with his wife and children.

The vacancy has
been filled by the election of Dave Bonighton (Mountain Goat, VIC),
current CBIA Treasurer, who will serve as interim Chair until the board
can recruit a suitable candidate to fill the required positions, and a
new board is elected at the next AGM.

In the statement released, Dave Bonighton said “On
behalf of the Board of the CBIA I’d like to thank Brad for his service.
Brad was one of the driving forces in the creation of the CBIA and his
leadership in our formative years was very important.”

“He
leaves the Association in great condition and the work we are putting in
to projects such as the 2014 Australian Craft Brewers Conference and
the whatiscraftbeer website continues apace,” he continued.
