The brewers at 4 Pines have embraced time honoured techniques and medieval processes to create a tantalising drop that is everything you want in a Baltic Porter – high alcohol content, sweet on the tongue and robust in flavour.Barrel-aging itself is as complex as quantum physics but the brewers at 4 Pines have taken it in their stride, artfully blending back the whisky barrel aged beer with French oak infused beer matured in stainless steel fermenters, to obtain the desired balance of flavours within this Keller Door masterpiece.

Aged in Oak whisky barrels from Tasmania’s Lark Distillery since December 2014, the oaky vanilla notes have seeped in to the beer making it a sterling drop.Tasting Notes:

“A gypsy show behind the Iron Curtain, in a bottle. You will be greeted by a slightly aggressive, tutu wearing circus bear juggling ignited knives and riding a tricycle. A smug Cossack stands in the corner dousing himself in gooey chocolate syrup, looking on. Smooth and warming with a rich, sweet body, this blend has been partially aged in French Oak whisky barrels for six months to give it a unique complexity of light vanilla and earthy minerals.”
