The crowd at last year’s Good Beer & Cider Festival

Marrickville’s The Vic Hotel in Sydney will celebrate all things craft on Saturday, 12 September with its fourth annual Good Beer & Cider Festival.

The festival is expected to draw around 2,000 enthusiasts who can enjoy sampling more than 80 local, interstate and international beers and ciders. For the first time, the People’s Choice winners from the Home Brew Master will also pour their brews.

There will be crafty tunes spun by DJs along with a spit roast banging out gourmet rolls and giant paella pans provided by The Vic Kitchen adding to the festival vibe.

Local brewers will include Willie The Boatman, Batch Brewing, Wayward Brewing, Rocks Brewing, Shenanigans Brewing, The Grifter Brewing and Young Henrys showcasing their brews alongside perennial favourites Mountain Goat, Feral Brewing, 4 Pines and Lord Nelson. There will also be ciders from the likes of Batlow and Hills Cider Co.

A People’s Choice Award will be chosen for the most popular beer and cider on show with a lucky voter winning their height in craft beer just for voting so vote early and often.

For the early birds, the brewers from Lord Nelson, led by Andrew Robson, will be holding a ‘Beer Masterclass’ from 11am to noon. Spaces are limited and tickets can be purchased from the Enmore Wine Shop in the lead up.

One-off and rare brews will be available and brewers will be on hand for the passionate beer lovers making this an event for all.

Entry is free and tickets are $20 for five beers. For updated news on the line up of brewers and events on the day, click here.
