We want to hear it: favourite beer of all time! - 2007/05/01 18:05 Come on guys, everyone's got a soft spot for one particular brew. Wether it comes from the beer itself, the time you drank it or who you drank it with, there's a top drop that will forever be close to your heart.

Mine is Duval. Drink in small doses as it's got a kick! It comes from a trip to Belgium. I was bloody excited to try some new and excellent beers in the country that knows it best - sitting at a table in Antwerp on the main drag, a waiter draws near, asks what I'd like, and he brings out a monster balooon glass and a frosty 1L bottle of Duval. Pours it with the froth in my lap and does a little bow before wandering away.

After too long sweaty hours on a train, lugging bags from the station to hotels, booking problems and a wrecking headache, a big gulp of the sharp, golden drop brought a huge smile to my face. I knew I was in Belgium from that moment.

My favourite?! I can't narrow it down to one, but here are my top 3:

1. Monteith's Summer Ale: A fantastic a annual limited release from the NZ brewery. Spiced beer doesn't come anymore pleasant than this.

2. Hunter Kolsch: From boutique brewery, Hunter Beer Co. Wonderful flavour!

3. Little Creatures Bright Ale: Always was a fan of Little Creatures brews, but this is their finest yet.

AT THE MOMENT BUT I DID LIKE THE RED HILL AMBER .

.......So if I was to drink one of my children it would have to be Coopers Pale...or may be a Redback...or Barking Duck....Leffe Blonde...oh I don't know! Don't ask stupid questions like that!
