The Craft Beer Industry Association (CBIA) is looking to address one of the challenges facing the craft beer industry, the lack of reliable industry data.

Without accurate industry data, it’s difficult for the CBIA to engage with governments and spread the positive story that the industry is creating.

Recognising its responsibility to address the issue, the CBIA has again commissioned the Australian Craft Beer Industry Survey.

The online survey consists of 15 questions examining areas such as production, employment and expenditure.

Conducted by independent research consultancy, Survey Matters, the survey strictly complies with the Privacy Act and the code of ethics of the Australian Market and Social Research Society. As such, it is conducted in an anonymous and confidential manner, and the identity of participants and their responses will not be made known to anyone, including the CBIA.

“Our industry can benefit immensely from access to accurate, informative and relevant data,” said CBIA Chair, Peta Fielding.

“Data that businesses need to plan and grow. That data is severely lacking currently and this survey is a key element in the CBIA’s efforts to address the issue.”

All Australian craft brewers should have received an email last Wednesday from Survey Matters with a link to the survey. If you have not received the survey link or would like more information, please contact Chris McNamara.
